Had the carvery delivered the Yorkshire pudding was made in old oil as you could taste it! And only a small amount of gravy in a pig pot very disappointed as the carvery always looks delicious but on this occasion it wasn’t such a shame.

Great place, service was great but sometimes the end of the meat bone is used which is not really a serving.

Third toby carvery we tried this year in hopes of a delicious meal and let down again. The quality of the food seems to have really gone down hill over the years which is really disappointing. Ice machine was broken on the drinks. The waiting staff were lovely and polite but the staff behind the carvery section were not. Only luke warm/dregs of vedge & stuffing etc and full trays of hot vedge behind them on the pass with lids on. Asked if they would take off the lid so i could get some and was frowned and and told firmly ‘no’. The meat was VERY dry and hard like it had been sat out for hours and the yorkshire puddings were so hard i couldn't eat it even doused in tepid gravy. Why were the kitchen staff not replenishing the vedge? I went back up after 25 minutes of eating to get more yet it was still not replaced and was still told no when asked for lid to be removed from the fresh pot making me feel awkward. I found this visit very unpleasant and i don’t think we will visit the horsforth branch again.

I was a customer at this restaurant, and the staff, especially the manager, were very cold and unwelcoming toward customers. Everything was delayed.

KATH! What an absolute treasure this amazing lady is! Toby Carvery is very lucky to have her! Everytime we visit, she goes above and beyond for us! As a family of 5, 2 children with Neurodiverse, one having sensory so is funny with food! And to top it off i am coeliac! She checks everything, makes sure we are happy and comfortable and that we are all happy! Very happy that she serves us! Will always come back for her service! Worth every penny

Always good quality food and busy with customers. Service is very good. My only gripe is we were not allowed to order food in the bar area on Sunday lunchtime, even though people eat in the bar area during the week!

We had to go to this carvery for a breakfast as our chosen one at Rooley Avenue in Bradford rang us before our booking time to tell us they had run out of eggs. That's a bit silly for somewhere doing all you can eat breakfast. I resisted telling them that there was an Asda 200 yards up the road from them but hey ho. So we went to Horsforth for a 10:00 am booking.. The misleading sign in reception said wait here to be seated when in fact you were supposed to go straight to the bar and order. This we did . 4 all you can eat breakfasts and one porridge plus drinks. We got our drinks took them to our chosen seats then to the carvery. No sausage. No bacon. No mushrooms and very few beans. So we sat down and waited for a while. After all there were about 20 people in there so they must have been helishly busy. Not!. We saw the cook putting more food out so off we went again. Still no sausage and mushrooms. Sat a bit long and saw more food being brought out. Eventually we managed to get food on our plates. I counted myself lucky getting the last hash brown and some bean juice alas still no mushrooms. The porridge was a pot you get in a supermarket for 50p I will stop now as the overall experience wasn't good. Really at an "all you can eat breakfast" you expect there to be food to eat. After we had finished we then felt rushed as staff were waiting to clear up to get ready for the lunch time carvery.

Me and my partner arrived around 2pm. We both got the standard carvery. Everything was excellent apart from the meat choices. I had beef and turkey in total I received 3 mouthfuls it was cut so thin. The beef was very fatty so that left me with just over a mouthful of wafer thin turkey. It was the same for my partner. Spending a total of over £28 on just a plate full of veg and potatoes is a bit of a rip off. Corn mill Lodge on pudsey Road. Is the place to go you get adult portions of beef and turkey not baby portions that thinly cut the chef should work at morrisons cutting wafer thin turkey and beef slices.
